Wonderful question. Each neighborhood contains within itself its own unique characteristics, demography, and hot spots for shopping and entertainment. If you are looking to move here, then you should take all these factors into account when choosing a neighborhood. Here are some local favorites that are hot renting spots in Rochester NY: Park Ave, NOTA, South Wedge, Corn Hill, and the St. Paul Quarter.
For college students and young professionals, Park Ave is a favorite. Despite its popularity, inexpensive apartments can be found at about $500 to $650 a month for one bedrooms, even less for studios. Each year the neighborhood holds its own festival, the Corn Hill Arts Festival, to which city residents flock. If you are looking for real downtown living, there is nothing like the St. Paul Quarter. Located around all of the Rochester NY’s hot bars and dining, renters may even find trendy loft apartments in this neighborhood. Enjoy exposed brick walls and exposed city views at the same time, then go down to Waterstreet Bar and Grill to see a rock show. Any place you go, you are sure to love Rochester NY living!
